Kindergarteners-Fourth Graders
|
|
The kindergarteners begin with a schedule which includes swimming lessons, sports, gymnastics,
art, pottery, music, drama, cooking, creative movement, and nature. The variety of the schedule is increased each year. Woodworking and more sports
are added in second grade, tennis and drums in third grade, and archery in fourth grade. Afternoon Free Choice begins in third grade. Each
camper is part of a group of approximately 12 boys and girls with a counselor and counselor-in-training.

Fifth and Sixth Graders' Challenge Program
|
|
Prior to camp, the campers in fifth and sixth grade are mailed a Challenge Program Activity List of more than
30 selections and asked to order their preferences among activities such as photography, newspaper, computer, band, rocketry, soccer, etc. Their
schedules are individually planned to include two or three challenge activities in addition to their regular schedule of swimming lessons,
sports/gymnastics, art, pottery, nature, music, woodworking, tennis, archery, and Project Adventure games. In the afternoon they have the
Free Choice Program. Each camper is part of a group of 12 boys and girls with a counselor.

Free Choice Program for Campers in Third Through Sixth Grade
|
|
At the beginning of each week all campers in third grade and older are given two choices from a
list of 15-20 activities and sports that are incorporated into their afternoon program along with free swimming. This is a
favorite feature of many campers because they make their own decisions and they may change their activities each week.
