Learning a language at a young age makes it easier! Include
Beginning French or Spanish language activities in your camp experience. For campers
who have started a language, instruction during the summer may provide a bridge from one
year to the next. Two levels of French and Spanish will be available, with three 45 minute
meetings per week. The camper's schedule will be adjusted to replace an activity with
the language session, but he/she will not miss swimming instruction. A camper should
select between the Scholastic Program and the French/Spanish Program.
Beginning French or Spanish: For campers in grades 1-6 with no previous
language experience, activities will include puppets, songs, games and rhymes.
Continuing French or Spanish: For campers in grades 1-6 with some language
experience, activities will include short conversations and video scenes as well as games,
songs and rhymes.
